Miracle at St. Anna

Miracle at St. Anna chronicles the story of four black American soldiers who are members of the US Army as part of the all-black 92nd “Buffalo Soldier” Division stationed in Tuscany, Italy during World War II.

They experience the tragedy and triumph of the war as they find themselves trapped behind enemy lines and separated from their unit after one of them risks his life to save an Italian boy.

Wow! I can’t believe this film was so long, but I was up to the very end. I would like to commend Director Spike Lee for finally showing us what some African American soldiers had to endure during the war. The film was very refreshing to me because it did not really show a lot of Lee’s views and opinions, but instead it showed what a group of African American soldiers had to do to survive during the war. I always wanted to know how African-American soldiers felt during the war while they were serving our country, and in this film Lee gives an idea of what they had to do during that time.

My Saturday!

So I am back on schedule. Here are some of the photos that I took today below. Here is the first photo I did while trying to work in photoshop. Not too bad for someone just starting out.

Look At My Friend Stephanie!

So this weekend, I continued to play with my camera. I had my friend Stephanie come over, to take a couple of photos. She is a Personal Trainer. Look at her ABS! If you need a trainer, hit me up for her information. This girl is definitely the real deal. Also if anyone is interested in being a model for me, please contact me.

Lakeview Terrace Rocks!

This film reminded me of 1990 classic Pacific Heights with Melanie Griffith and Matthew Modine. It had a little “creepy” field, but never the less it was very “Hollywood.”

The story was about a young couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) who has just moved into their California dream home when they become the target of their next-door neighbor, who disapproves of their interracial relationship.

What was so interesting about this story is the way they make the Samuel Jackson’s character disliked by everyone in the entire move; including his kids. I mean Hollywood made him such a villain that you had nothing to do, but dislike his character. I mean they could have made him have on good relationship, but he was not liked by anyone.

Apart from Jackson, the cast seems to work very well together. Patrick Wilson is a preppie white boy, perfectly fit for the role of the husband; he even enjoys hip-hop music But it is the role of the wife played by, Kerry Washington who really brings the movie together. She has come a long way from “Save The Last Dance.” After she played in “Ray,” her career took another course. In the role of Lisa, she is the most likeable character it seems in the film and shows lots of emotion.

I recommend seeing this movie! It is also produced by Will Smith.

ONE MORE AVERAGE FILM!

Babylon A.D.
It is a very sad day when a director can’t even say anything great about his own film.
Film had lots of average violence, and that was about it! As I like to say, “It is what it is”!

MIRRORS! Where Have All The Horror Films Gone???????

Since I had last Monday off I decided to hang out with my roommate and catch the film, “Mirror.” I really wanted this to be a good flick for Kiefer Sutherland because he was playing opposite of what of the most beautiful women on film Paula Patton (hot husband Robin Thick), but this was a no go! The entire film was very predicable and to top it off t was not even SCARRY!

Synopsis: Kiefer Sutherland stars as a disgraced former cop who attempts to put his checkered past behind him by taking a job as a security...While being the night watchmen lots of strange things begin to happen at the place…

The plot is very, very DUMD! Need I say more?

Nothing horror worthy about this film..

Bangkok Dangerous = Bangkok Boring

Wow! I am back in effect! There was not a lot of action this weekend, at the movie theatre but I did check out the new Nick Cage Flick:

Can you guys remember Nick in the early stages or middle stages of his career? He was an outstanding “A” list actor, but the last two films, National Treasure and the (YUCK), film, Ghost Rider, have really been pushing him down. This film was a little boring with a very weird ending, that I did not get at all. The movie was very typical about a hit man trying to complete his last job without feeling anything! Cage needs to use his clout as an actor and producer to make hands-on-down-and-dirty B-movies, that will crank him to Oscar status. This movie was very BORING!
